Mishmash Monday

I know this happens to y'all, too....but it seems like about everything that I've read, or heard lately....can be applied directly to certain situations in my life.  So....today's MishMash Monday is gonna be a little different than usual....in that it's just a mishmash of different things that have spoke to my heart lately.....

1) Think about how much falsehood and deceit there is in the world! How much exaggeration! How many untruths are added to a simple story! How many things are left out, if it does not serve the speaker's interest to tell them! How few there are around us of whom we can say, that we trust their word without question!

2)  Don't justify sin, just defy sin.

3) A good way to dislocate your shoulder....is patting yourself on the back!!!
(displayed on a local church sign)

4) "But my work seems useless! I have spent my strength for nothing and to no purpose.  Yet I leave it all in the Lord's hand; I will trust God for my reward".
Isaiah 49:41
(just because...;)

5) "You can forgive someone almost anything. But you cannot tolerate everything...We don't have to tolerate what people do just because we forgive them for doing it. Forgiving heals us personally. To tolerate everything only hurts us all in the long run."
~ ~ Lewis B. Smedes  ~ ~

6) Forgive me my nonsense as I also forgive the nonsense of those who think they talk sense.
~ ~ Robert Frost ~ ~

7) I want to end on a "perfect" number....so I'll stop at #7 by sharing this with y'all.  A couple of verses of scripture that I highlighted from the revival message that we heard last night at church were the last part of II Chronicles 20:15....
"for the battle is not yours, but God's."
And....II Chronicles 20:17....
"fear not, nor be dismayed; tomorrow go out against them; for the Lord will be with you."

I'll leave y'all with this song that's been on my heart.
If we truly turn our eyes upon Jesus....then, the craziness of this world won't seem quite so overwhelming....
....and will truly grow "strangely dim"!!!

(be sure to turn my PlayList off before listening)
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
