Blessed....or Bragging

I've had something on my mind....and want to share it with y'all.

I'm such a blessed woman....in so many areas of my life.  I told somebody this and it seemed to offend them because they're reply back to me was a very sarcastic "well, we all are".  I in no way meant to imply that God had blessed me more than them....or that I was bragging about my blessings.....because I truly am humbled that the Lord loves me enough to bless me the way He has.

What really brought this to light is that a similar situation has happened once again....but in reverse.  I listened to someone go on and on about their "blessings"....but it sounded like nothing more than bragging to me.  Most of their "blessings" were things that they claimed to have accomplished on their own.

So....my dear readers....if I've ever came across to you as bragging about anything that I post on my blog....be it a craft, or a recipe....
....I'm sincerely sorry.
I truly am blessed....and any talent I have....anything I'm able to accomplish....I really do give HIM all honor....and GLORY...because without HIM....
....I'm nothing!!!

Psalm 34:2
I will boast only in the Lord.
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. I love bragging on what the Lord has done for my family and myself. I am so unworthy of the blessing he has grant me with. Thank you Lord for everything you bestow to me. Yesterday, at church we sung the song " He's Got the Whole World in His Hands". The kids wanted to say everything from babies, mommies and daddies, the cows and cats, and the buildings. The church and etc. It is just amazes me how there little minds think 3-9yrs old.

  2. Deb....some folks can only hear the echo of the darkness, hate and death in their life! Yes "boasttings" can easily be caught up in ...but once we realize that we may have been boastful and not truly thankful ...we can repent and about face! I'm so thankful for the Truth that sets us free...."who is w/out sin cast the first stone" ...duh ...there were NO takers! I love you Deb and I know that you only want to give true praise to our LORD for the many blessings in your life ...the Word tells us to not forget the benefits of our salvation ....so go forth my friend go tell it on a mountain !!!! ILY

  4. "If I boast of anything, let it be in the cross of Christ"- there's the difference my friend. Either we're grateful and astonished that the Lord chooses to use the likes of us or we in our human-ness forget from where all blessings do indeed flow.
