{ Journey To Healthy }

44 pounds gone

2006                                            2015

Out of curiosity, I contacted Weight Watchers to ask what my highest weight was when I first joined them.  I received a response back and from what I weighed in 2004 to today.....
yes, I'm over 60 pounds down.
I'm not sharing this out of pride,
but just as a reminder of how out of shape I let myself get and how embarrassed I am about it, but mostly that I didn't take care of the Temple where the Holy Spirit dwells within me.
If you're reading this, PLEASE take care of yourself....
don't wait until you're an old(er) woman like me!

"Deep in the soul of every man, woman, and child is a void that nags us for attention.
We think it's a sign of dysfunction, and we try to heal it ourselves.
Some of us fill it with food,
but the sense of taste is only satisfied for a moment.
One day, if we're spiritually sensitive, we understand:

It's a holy hunger, and only God can fix it.

Those who have quenched their hunger with the things of this world have settled for empty calories;
they're ultimately unsatisfied.
The blessing of the true hunger leads us to Jesus.....
the Bread of Life."
~~~Chris Tiegreen~~~
Matthew 4:4
Jesus answered,
“It is written:
‘Man shall not live on bread alone,
but on every word that comes from the mouth of God.’
Ten Biblical Reasons to Get Healthy
1. God loves us us and wants us to be in good health.....
Dear friend,
I hope all is well with you and that you are as healthy in body as you are strong in spirit.
3 John 1:2
2. We are created in the image of God and reflect His image.....
So God created human beings in his own image.
    In the image of God he created them;
    male and female he created them.
Genesis 1:27
3. God has called us to choose life and blessings not death and curses.....
  Today I have given you the choice between life and death,
between blessings and curses.
Now I call on heaven and earth to witness the choice you make
Oh, that you would choose life,
so that you and your descendants might live!
Deuteronomy 30:19
4. God wants to use our good health to glorify Him and to be an example to others.....
Don’t you realize that your body is the temple of the Holy Spirit,
who lives in you and was given to you by God?
You do not belong to yourself,
 for God bought you with a high price.
So you must honor God with your body.
1 Corinthians 6:19-20
5. Whatever we do, we are to do it to the glory of God.....
So whether you eat or drink,
or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.
 1 Corinthians 10:31
6. We are to start our journey with God and trust that He will help us see it through until we reach our goal.....
And I am certain that God,
who began the good work within you,
will continue his work until it is finally finished on the day when Christ Jesus returns.
Phillipians 1:6
7. I am fearfully and wonderfully made.....
Thank you for making me so wonderfully complex!
    Your workmanship is marvelous—
how well I know it.
Psalm 139:14
8. God wants to transform our lives little by little therefore good health and weight releasing is a process!.....
So all of us who have had that veil removed can see and reflect the glory of the Lord.
And the Lord—who is the Spirit—
makes us more and more like him as we are changed into his glorious image.
2 Corinthians 3:18
9. God wants us to partner with the Holy Spirit to live a victorious life.....
If you love me, obey  my commandments.   And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate,  who will never leave you.   He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.  No, I will not abandon you as orphans—I will come to you.   Soon the world will no longer see me, but you will see me. Since I live, you also will live.  When I am raised to life again, you will know that I am in my Father, and you are in me, and I am in you.   Those who accept my commandments and obey them are the ones who love me. And because they love me, my Father will love them. And I will love them and reveal myself to each of them.”  Judas (not Judas Iscariot, but the other disciple with that name) said to him, “Lord, why are you going to reveal yourself only to us and not to the world at large?”   Jesus replied, “All who love me will do what I say. My Father will love them, and we will come and make our home with each of them.   Anyone who doesn’t love me will not obey me. And remember, my words are not my own. What I am telling you is from the Father who sent me.   I am telling you these things now while I am still with you.
John 14:15-25
10. God wants me to be free and not bound by by fears and insecurities.
This is possible when I walk in His spirit.....
For the Lord is the Spirit,
and wherever the Spirit of the Lord is,
there is freedom.
 2 Cor. 3:17
