The 23rd Psalm....continued

If you visited Jeremiah 29:11 on Thursday....
I promised to continue talking a bit about stress!!!
I conducted an unofficial survey on Facebook and asked what people did as a stress reliever....and here's a break-down of answers:

Hobbies - 6
Prayer - 4
Bath, or shower - 4
Sleep - 2
Sit on back porch, or go outside - 2
Exercise - 1
Read scripture - 1
Cry - 1
Throw a hissy fit - 1
Pace floor and slam things - 1
Yell - 1
Eat - 1
Sing - 1
Shop - 1
Count blessings - 1

I had to laugh out loud at some of the answers...
....and the laughter helped relieve some of my own stress!!!
;)

I remembered something that I had jotted down in the back of one of my Bibles many years ago....one of my favorite things....an acrostic....for stress:

S - Search the Bible
T - Trust God's Heart
R - Rest on His Promises
E - Encourage One Another
S - Sing His Praises
S - Seek the Savior

So....my questions to you are:

What do you personally do to relieve stress?
Are you reading the 23rd Psalm every day, too?
If you are....can you already tell a difference in your stress levels?

Leave me a comment....let me know!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. Ummm, I try not to have stress because my mantra is: I refuse to allow anyone or anything to steal my inner peace! and I think my best stress reliever is prayer and I find myself reciting the serenity prayer quite often! along with deep breaths...
thanks for asking and sharing information today!

  4. Been following your blog for a while, and was hoping that you could help me to put a call to pray for a little boy. Details are here: http://upthehillbothways.blogspot.com/2011/01/prayer-request-4-years-old-suffered.html
Please spread the word, don't have to link to my blog at all, but if you could find prayer warriors for this boy - God will know where they need to go.
