{ Friday Foto Friends #105 }

Last Friday I suggested we take a drive thru Cades Cove. I'd been wanting to go for quite some time and thought it might be the perfect day since the weather was beautiful.   I'm pretty sure a couple of other thousand folks thought the same thing because of the traffic.  We stopped at a small IGA in Townsend and got lunch from the deli and drove into the park for a picnic.  It was a wonderful day. The only thing to make it better would have been to see a bear.  We did see two deer and some turkeys.....
well, besides Pappy and me!

 I have plenty of fotos to share with Y'all and some of them show exactly why they're called the Great Smoky Mountains!

I believe these pics are an indication of autumn's last hurrah.
We're fixing to get rain and cooler temps in our neck of the woods this weekend. And how can it be that next week is THANKSgiving?!?

HOPE everybody has a wonderful weekend!

  3. Thank you for sharing these lovely pictures of the Smokies. I miss going through there so much. It has been many years since I've had the joy of doing so. Your pictures help me remember why I want to go back someday!! Especially in the fall. Thank you for putting a smile on my face. Love the deer. You were blessed to get such good photos of a young deer like that! They don't often stand still and pose for long! I pray you and your family will have a blessed and beautiful Thanksgiving time together. I know...I can't believe it is next week either!

  7. Oh my goodness!! Those photos are so great! You need to frame them and hang them in a prominent place. Just lovely! The mountains are beautiful, even in the winter when they are covered in snow. Thanks for sharing!!
