Jeremiah 29:11

Jeremiah 29:11
For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, says the LORD, thoughts of peace and not of evil, to give you a future and a hope.
For those of you who know me very well, you know this is sort of my "signature" verse of scripture. I love it. This was the verse that kept coming to my mind when God was prompting me to quit work...I kept "arguing" with Him, asking Him how in the world we could make it, and this verse would come to mind every time. Pappy and I used this verse when we placed an ad in Jess' Senior yearbook 11 years ago. I had no clue then how much these words would come to mean to me. It seems to come up so often. I shared it with a friend this morning and told her to claim this verse today for something she is going thru.
(you're in my prayers Ms. M).
I shared it with my prayer partner yesterday.
Just think about it....God wants only the best for you...he wants to give you His peace, not the peace that the world claims you can have thru fame and fortune, or drugs, or alcohol, or sex. His thoughts toward us are peaceful, kind, good.
Do you realize those are the same thoughts that we are to have toward each other? Do I always think only the best of everybody?!?!?!?...are you kidding....not me...I told Jess yesterday that I was feeling very devilish....feeling devilish is the total opposite of what a Christian should be feeling!!!
Here is what I want to leave you with.
The word in that verse that stands out to me is HOPE!!
Now..again..for those of you who know me best...
HOPE is my very favorite word!!
Having the assurance Of the Promise of Eternal life!!!

You are so right you talk about my faith. Lately, I think Satan has really challenge me I even snapped at my mom Wed. I have not done that in years. I had to apologize I just made an assumption that was wrong. Satan tried to setup me up and I took the trap. Although, I got myself back out of it though.
