Proverbs 3:3

Proverbs 3:3 (NKJV)

Let not mercy and truth forsake you;

Bind them around your neck,

Write them on the tablet of your heart.

A few years ago, we spruced up our kitchen a little. One of the things we did was tiled underneath the cabinets. I've always wanted a "mural" over my stove. The picture above is what I came up with. I ordered the mural off of e-bay, mostly because I loved the colors and it went well with the surrounding tile...but it also contains the scripture verse above, except the mural has the NIV version. Plus...in very small writing...very, very small writing...at the very bottom...are the words "God is good"...which I didn't know until we received it. (Look at the bottom right tile under the word geranium) Now...every time I cook (which isn't too often...just ask Pappy)....that is what I get to look at...and ponder on. I'm a firm believer in surrounding yourself with things that make you think about God, that keep your mind off things of this world...listen to Christian music...read Christian books...have scripture where you can see it...keep a Bible handy so you can look something up quickly. I guarantee it will help keep you out of trouble....and help you in times of trouble!!!

In His Love...and with mine!!!

  1. just wanted to comment on the mural in your kitchen....I love it...
    it reminds me of something you might see in Italy :-) I love the tuscany-Olive-gardeny look, and this fits right in.
    I also love Saturday's scripture!Everybody needs somebody, well, we need lots of people in our lives actually, but it reminds us that it's hard to accomplish much on our own :-)
    love ya!
