Sunday Morning Worship

I am no photographer....so please don't critique my photography skills....just look at the subject. We came out of Big Lots Friday evening and the first thing I saw was this beautiful maple tree...there was one almost identical on the other side of the little drive. It was dark, so you can't see it very well...but it had to be one of the most beautiful trees I've ever seen...and all of its beauty came from it's Creator!!!
When I saw it, I thought about "consider the lilies":

Matthew 6:28-34 (NLT)
“And why worry about your clothing? Look at the lilies of the field and how they grow. They don’t work or make their clothing, yet Solomon in all his glory was not dressed as beautifully as they are. And if God cares so wonderfully for wildflowers that are here today and thrown into the fire tomorrow, he will certainly care for you. Why do you have so little faith?
“So don’t worry about these things, saying, ‘What will we eat? What will we drink? What will we wear?’ These things dominate the thoughts of unbelievers, but your heavenly Father already knows all your needs. Seek the Kingdom of God above all else, and live righteously, and he will give you everything you need.
“So don’t worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will bring its own worries. Today’s trouble is enough for today."

Consider the Lilies - Written by Joel Hemphill

Consider the lilies
They don’t toil or spin

And there’s not a king

With more splendor than them

Consider the sparrows

They don’t plant or sow

But they’re fed by the master

Who watches them grow

We have a heavenly father above
With eyes full of mercy

And a heart full of love

He really cares when

Your head is bowed low

Consider the lilies

And then you will know

May I introduce you
To this friend of mine

Who hangs out the stars

And tells the sun when to shine

He kisses the flowers

Each morning with dew

But He’s not too busy

To love me and you

We have a heavenly father above
With eyes full of mercy

And a heart full of love

He really cares when

Your head is bowed low

Consider the lilies

And then you will know

Hope each of you spend the first day of this new week
in church...
worshiping our precious Savior!!

In His Love...and with mine!!!

  1. the Red ones this year were glorious! I took a picture of the one across from where kay and robert used to live, the Beeler's, her son built a house about 2 or 3 places down from Donnie, it was the tree in his yard, and it was the prettiest tree I think I've seen this year. My Dad even wants it blown up and framed. We both love the reds ones the best. If someone doubts there is a God, all they have to do is open their eyes, and take a look around, He's everywhere!!
