I was glad when they said unto me, Let us go into the house of the LORD.
Pap started having muscle spasms in his back last Sunday morning just before time to leave for Sunday School...he thought it might go away in time for "preaching", but that didn't happen, so I went on to church. I went to the choir room to give a card to Mr. Joe, and they were practicing this song. I've always loved songs that have an old "spiritual" feel to them...you know what I'm talking about, dontcha??? Those "black spirituals"....I'm not meaning to offend anybody with that quote...I just love that kind of music...the kind that makes you want to move!!! I actually told them they might want to not act so much like Baptists, that I would like to see the choir move a little!!!! Don't you think we'll be moving in heaven??? ....maybe a little dancing because we're so happy?!?!?
Boy, I sure hope so!!!
Okay...back to topic...they were practicing the song before the service started...and wow, oh, wow!!! Mr. Steve was standing there, and I told him I thought I might just shout!!! I believe they sounded better in the choir room...by themselves...not in front of a crowd...than they did during the service...well, maybe not...anyway, I really received a blessing getting to hear them up close and personal....so....thank you, Mr. Joe...thanks, choir....and a special thanks to Clint, Roger, Mike (you rock) and Jim!!! You guys make an awesome quartet!!!
(and you sounded just as good as The Gaithers....I mean it!!! You might need to take this show on the road!!!)
