Have I ever told you....I think I have....but, did you know that I love old spirituals? You know, those old black gospel songs....
I call them "spirituals"!!!!
Once, Dr. Liner's wife, Ms. Barbara sang one at church and I cried like a baby....Ms. Carrie had to had me a tissue. She sang "Sweet Little Jesus Boy", recorded several years ago by
Mahalia Jackson, and it turned out she was one of Ms. Barbara's favorite singers!!!
Well....have you ever heard of the Fairfield Four????
Pappy introduced me to these fellows years ago, and they are A-M-A-Z-I-N-G.
There are actually 5 of these talented men who sing Acappella.
Listen to them sing "Roll Jordan Roll" with Nashville Bluegrass....who aren't too shabby themselves!!!
Most of the time, they just have on overalls and white shirts....they included a suit jacket this time!!!
The bass singer is awesome!!!
Plus...I promise I'll hush in a minute...notice what gentlemen they are!!!
