I Will Rise

This video was posted on God Tube by Bob Marshall.

He put it together for a lady in his church who had terminal cancer...she passed away before he had the chance to let her see it...in other words...she "rose"!!!!!
AMEN!!!
Chris Tomlin is one of my absolute favorite singers!
How many times before have you heard me say that about somebody else?!?!?
LOL!!!
I love music...but, can I sing???
Well...Pappy says I sing better than I think I do...but I can't read a single note of music!!!
I've heard this song a couple of times lately on Love 89.
The lyrics are just beautiful.
The part that really spoke to me and I want to talk about is the chorus:

And I will rise when
He calls my name
No more sorrow, no more pain
I will rise on eagles' wings
Before my God fall on my knees
And rise.....I will rise

How many of you read the somewhat contradiction in these lyrics....
"Before my God fall on my knees...and rise"!!!!
When I hear this song being sung, chills just come over me and tears come to my eyes...nothing sad, but joyful.
Those who haven't accepted Jesus as their Lord and Savior cannot fully understand what it means that we'll fall on our knees before the Lord and rise!!
I'm reminded of when we go to the Lord in prayer...when we humble ourselves before Him...when we fall on our knees...but our thoughts and prayers and hopes and requests rise up to Him...and also our heart just seems to rise as we pour out our wants and needs and praises to Him!!! Nobody can make us feel like He does...nobody can understand us like He does....and NOBODY can LOVE us like He does!!! Also...when I die..I'm going to RISE!!!!
I'm going to rise and meet Him in heaven!!!
Hallelujah!!!

My sincerest desire is for anybody who reads my blog...that they see God even in my words. I never, ever want to seem haughty, or certainly don't want anybody to think I'm an authority on anything, especially scripture and it's meaning. Sometimes I read what people write and their use of scripture, and I have to admit...it's way over my head. I'm definitely a "life application" type of person....I have to know how the scripture applies to me.
All I know is that I love the Lord...and He loves me...and so many times I wonder why. I'm not worthy at all of His love...but He sheds it on me anyway.
If any of you don't have this relationship with our precious Lord....please don't put it off. I'm reminded of what King Agrippa said to Paul:
Acts 26:28 (KJV)
Then Agrippa said unto Paul, Almost thou persuadest me to be a Christian.
Don't be almost persuaded....if you have questions, please seek out a co-worker, or a friend, or a pastor, or anybody whom you know is a Christian and you have confidence in and can confide in and will help you research scripture to lead you to accepting Jesus into your heart and life!!
Let me tell you...you'll never be the same!!!

Isaiah 40:31 (NLT)
But those who trust in the Lord will find new strength.
They will soar high on wings like eagles.
They will run and not grow weary.
They will walk and not faint.

In His Love...and with mine!!!

  2. To my fellow Huffaker:) LOL!!!I just received your blog link from Missy McMahan in an email. She forwards me alot of prayer request etc. I just thought I would let you know what a blessing I got from reading your post for today. I have been struggling with school and being overwhelmed and your post was really inspiriational to me. I set extremely high standards for myself and get discouraged when I don't achieve them. Thanks for passing on a blessing from the Lord. Oh yes! I love that song too!!!!
    Love,
