To God Be The Glory

Psalm 69:13 (NLT)
But I keep praying to you, L
ord, hoping this time you will show me favor.
In your unfailing love, O God, answer my prayer with your sure salvation.

Do you ever pray for something...and even though you ask for God's will to be done...you still feel guilty....and totally inadequate...if the outcome isn't what you had hoped for....if the prayer isn't answered like you asked????
I think "did I not ask it right", or "wasn't I sincere enough"????

I asked these questions to my friend yesterday when we found out that a friend of ours is facing surgery for a very serious condition. She had a biopsy and the outcome wasn't good....and when I found out what the results were, I just felt like I hadn't prayed hard enough, or long enough....or, was there more I could have said???
We know that when we pray, we must make our requests to God and include
"if it's Your will".
The Lord's Prayer
even directs us to pray "Thy will be done"
Matthew 6:9-13

For whatever reason, the outcome wasn't what I prayed for....but I know that doesn't mean God didn't hear me...because I did pray that His will be done.
And, I pray that whatever the final outcome of this situation is...that all of us will remember:

"For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever.
Amen."

In His Love....and with mine!!!
