Happy Independence Day!!

Have y'all noticed how many of the stores have so much more patriotic things to decorate with these days? Head over to Dollar General Store for some of those really neat metal stars. I don't remember there being so much out there in the past...but Hobby Lobby has some gorgeous things....hope they have a BIG sale on Monday!!!

Here are some pics of some of the things I've used to decorate.....in honor of the 4th of July....

America's Independence Day!!!

This is a shelf Pappy built for me several years ago that I like to dress up for each holiday!!!

I love flags...little ones and big ones!!!
This one hangs underneath the mailbox.
Hanging basket of flowers behind the mailbox!
Metal flag we've had for several years.
It was just plain "rusty" when we got it, so I painted her up a little!!

Try not to notice that this chair could use another coat of paint!!!
I'm hoping that it will rust on those white spots....I love rust...ha! ha!
This is one of my favorite things in the yard...and I keep a flag in it year round!!! You can't see it, but the wooden sign says "Welcome"!

I love window boxes, but our house isn't really suited for 'em.
So....I got these on sale at Big Lots and filled them with some of my favorites....ivy and red geraniums....and Pappy fixed the holders to hang them from the porch railings!!

This little "flag" came from the Dollar General Store.
The wooden stars came off a chalkboard that I'm working on updating that I'll share with y'all in a future post. I hot glued them on this flag and dry brushed brown paint on them to make them look "old"!!!
It hangs on the front door!!

This has to be one of my very favorite flags.
I have one that is an American Flag...but this one is just so me!!
Don't you just feel so privileged to live in the United States of America?

I know our country isn't perfect....and we've been experiencing some difficult times in the last year....but we are so very blessed.
I hope I can take the time to remember that tomorrow, in the midst of all the other celebrations!!!!

Blessings,
