Prayerful Thursday

Seems like if I have a week, like last week....where I don't have a great lot of prayer requests....then the following week is full of people in and out of the hospital...in accidents...or the death of a loved one. Please, dear prayer warriors....keep all of the following in your thoughts and prayers:
1. Mr. Chris Fine
This is the young man who was pinned underneath his truck for 20 hours before being rescued. Ms. Shari is a friend of this family and here is the update she sent me yesterday:
"I haven't talked to Chris's parents but ran into his aunt yesterday. She said its not good... they had to put him back on the vent. His blood pressure had been up but I think they were able to get that leveled out a bit. The problem now is his heart rate. It was very high yesterday.. over 160. They got it down to 120 which is still a bit high and are trying to figure out what is causing that. They said he had opened his eyes once and was somewhat responsive to what people were doing and saying around him (not sure if that was before he went back on the vent or after). So just continue to pray and keep him on your blog for as many prayers as possible and I will keep you updated when I hear anything!"
2. Family and friends of Ms. Ruby Rogers
Ms. Rogers is the mother of a friend of mine....and she is the grandmother of a brother and sister in our church. Please keep this family in your thoughts and prayers as they struggle with their loss.

3. Mr. Chuck Sharp

Mr. Sharp fell from a ladder while painting his house. He has a broken wrist and an injury to his knee and is in a lot of pain. Please keep him and Ms. Glenda in your thoughts and prayers. We talked about how God had His hand on that ladder and his injuries could have been so much worse!!!

4. Ms. Ruth Thompson

Ms. Ruth was scheduled for surgery earlier this week, but it had to be cancelled because her BP was too elevated. Please keep her in your prayers as she prepares to go thru this surgery.

5. Ms. Diane Gass

Ms. Diane broke her wrist and had surgery this afternoon. Please pray for quick healing without much pain.

6. Family and friends of Mr. Kenneth Simpson

Mr. Simpson passed away this past Sunday. I went to church with his family for many years. Please keep them in your thoughts and prayers as they grieve their loss.

7. Ms. Myrtle's son and grand-daughter

Ms. Myrtle attends our church and she requested prayer for her family members. She didn't give specifics, but...God knows....so please offer up a special prayer for them...and for Ms. Myrtle, too!!!

8. Ms. Katherine Willis

This lady is an employee of a couple in our church. A horse threw her and she suffered some facial injuries. Please keep her in your prayers for a quick recovery from her pain.

9. Mr. Bucky and Ms. Belinda Dunn

This is a couple in our church. Ms. Belinda had breast cancer and just finished her chemotherapy and is not undergoing radiation. Mr. Bucky was in an auto accident and hurt his back. Please keep them both in your thoughts and prayers as they recover.

10. Ms. Amanda

Ms. Amanda is the daughter of a friend who I went to school with. We were in the same grade in school...and so were our daughters. Ms. Amanda is facing some upcoming tests, and as a Mom myself...I can understand the worry her Mom has. Please keep Ms. Amanda (and her Mom and Dad...and her husband)...in your thoughts and prayers that whatever is wrong can be found...and that it can be easily treated.

11. Pastor Search Committee at Beech Springs Baptist Church

Please continue to keep our pastor search committee in your thoughts and prayers as they seek the man God has in store for us!!!

12. Family and friends of Mr. Connie Franklin

Please continue to pray for Ms. Drama's family in the loss of her brother.

13. Mr. Charles Franklin

This is Ms. Drama's Dad and hospice is with him. Please keep this family in your prayers for everything they are going thru.

14. Ms. Katherine Long

Ms. Katherine will be having surgery on October 1st for removal of a tumor in her lung. Please keep her and her family in your thoughts and prayers.

And...last, but certainly not least...please pray for our precious friend, Ms. Rhonda....who had to go to the hospital today because of a terrible migraine. We hope and pray that it gets better...and NEVER returns...and they can find out what's causing them!!!

Dear Prayer Warriors...thank you from the bottom of my heart for your faithfulness to my blog on Thursday's to see who needs our prayers. I know that each person listed above will covet your thoughts and prayers for whatever they are facing in their lives!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
