Love till it hurts.....

....then....
....love some more!!!

I went to a doctor's appointment with my Mom, and on the way home, she had the car radio on a Christian station. There was a man talking about how we should love others....regardless of whether they're likeable...we're still to show them God's love. It reminded me of something that I had heard and when I did a bit of research I found that it was written by Mother Teresa.

ANYWAY

People are unreasonable, illogical and self-centered.
Love them anyway!
If you do good, people will accuse you of selfish, ulterior motives.
Do good anyway!
If you are successful, you will win false friends and enemies.
Succeed anyway!
The good you do will be forgotten tomorrow.
Do good anyway!
Honesty and frankness make you vulnerable.
Be honest and frank anyway!
What you spend years building may be destroyed overnight.
Build anyway!
People really need help but may attack you if you help them.
Help them anyway!
Give the world the best you have and you’ll get kicked in the teeth.
Give the world the best you’ve got anyway!

Not only did I hear the message on the radio....and read the words to the "poem"....later on in the afternoon, I was reading a daily devotional that I receive via e-mail....and here's the scripture it was based on:

Philippians 2:3-5 (KJV)
Let nothing be done through strife or vainglory; but in lowliness of mind let each esteem other better than themselves. Look not every man on his own things, but every man also on the things of others. Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus.

Here's what the New Living Translation has to say:

Don’t be selfish; don’t try to impress others.
Be humble, thinking of others as better than yourselves.
Don’t look out only for your own interests, but take an interest in others, too.
You must have the same attitude that Christ Jesus had.

Don't you agree....that this was one of those....
"if you hear it twice"?
I truly felt God speaking to me....that I should never, ever think myself any better than another....that He loves us all....the same!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
