A couple of years ago, I read a devotional about being a mentor, and I felt the need to find a mentor for myself!!!  A lady in our church who teaches a Sunday school class came to my mind as we came home from church one Sunday night.  The very next Sunday I went to her class and that's where I've been since.  At first, our class consisted of about 5 women, but as word grew of the amazing Bible scholar that this lady is, we now have around 15 ladies in our class.

If you don't have a mentor....then, pray about it, and see if God is leading you to find someone who can instruct and teach you....or....maybe it's the other way around and you feel God calling you to reach out to a younger lady you can help.  I'm so glad for the "it's not odd, it's God" moment when I received that devotional, and God put this precious lady on my heart!  She's become more than a teacher to me....she's given me sound advice when I asked for it....I know that everything I say to her is in confidence....and she's my friend!!!

Titus 2:2-8 (NLT)
Teach the older men to exercise self-control, to be worthy of respect, and to live wisely. They must have sound faith and be filled with love and patience.  Similarly, teach the older women to live in a way that honors God. They must not slander others or be heavy drinkers. Instead, they should teach others what is good. These older women must train the younger women to love their husbands and their children, to live wisely and be pure, to work in their homes, to do good, and to be submissive to their husbands. Then they will not bring shame on the word of God.   In the same way, encourage the young men to live wisely.  And you yourself must be an example to them by doing good works of every kind. Let everything you do reflect the integrity and seriousness of your teaching.  Teach the truth so that your teaching can’t be criticized. Then those who oppose us will be ashamed and have nothing bad to say about us.

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
