January

I love the month of January....
....I even love the word itself!!!
The word January comes from the Latin word for "door"....and it is the "door of the new year".
The first day of January....is....of course....New Year's Day.
January is on average the coldest month of the year (I'm thinkin' this year is definitely no exception, since I'm sitting here typing this and it's only about 20 outside).

January's birthstone is the garnet

January's flower is the the carnation

 Why is January such a special month for me?

~~~I was  born in January....in 1955~~~
~~~I was saved at the age of 12 in the month of January....1967~~~

~~~Pappy and I got engaged in the month of January....1977~~~
~~~Pappy was ordained as a deacon in our church in January....2009~~~

So...here's wishing each of you a happy month of January....
....the month of "new beginnings"!!!

Blessings to you,
