Haven't you always heard....that God answers prayers in one of three ways?
When we pray for something....or, ask His help with some crisis we're in the midst of....He sometimes answers our prayer just the way we hoped....with a "yes". I've learned over the years....from experience....that when He tells me "no"....that it's for my own good. It's when He tells me to "wait"....that I have the hardest time dealing with His answer. Because...that means....that I have to show....PATIENCE.
We've had a little situation in our family that we've been praying about for a few weeks....and I think each of us probably prayed and asked for something different.
I know this because I've "compared notes"!!!
Somebody asked why we should pray for God's will to be done....when He already knows what we want....what the desire of our heart is....and how difficult it is to ask His will if it doesn't fit with our own wants.
I truly believe that God just wants us to leave it all up to Him....pray about it and leave it in His hands...and that He actually wants to hear us say,
"Thy will be done".
Even Jesus did that very thing....as He prayed to His Father in the Garden of Gethsemane:
Luke 22:42 (KJV)
Saying, Father, if thou be willing, remove this cup from me: nevertheless not my will, but thine, be done.
In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
