Getting sidetracked

One day last week I was trying to study the next session for our Ladies Bible Study class.  I say "trying" because here's what happened....

I dropped my cell phone....so....I put my Bible and study guide to the side and got up to get it....finding it slid under the couch.

Then....

I sat back down and got settled into reading....and some papers fell out of the  back of my study guide onto the floor.  Now....with my personality....I had to pick them up RIGHT THEN....so, as I was reaching to do that....my Bible fell onto the floor, loosing my place.

So....

....of course I had to retrieve my Bible....

But....

....as I was reaching in the floor to get it....I somehow untied my shoe!!!

You're probably wondering about now,
"why is she telling us this"....
....well....
....I'm saying all that to say this....

....satan will try every trick in the book to keep us out of God's Word....to distract us when we're praying....to keep our minds off of HIM.  After I tied my shoe, I had to just sit back and laugh.  At one point in my life I would have just gotten so disgusted with all the distractions....put the Bible away....and given up.
Well, not this time.
I just told that old devil...."get thee behind me satan" (yes, little "s"....he doesn't deserve to be capitalized!!!)....and kept right on with my study!!!

Galatians 5:7 (NLT)
You were running the race so well.
Who has held you back from following the truth?

Blessings to you!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
