Holy Week - Monday

Is it okay to get angry?
I think it is as long as our anger is for the right reasons....
disrespect for our church...taking the Lord's name in vain...seeing someone mistreated, either physically, or verbally...in my opinion, these are some examples of what should make us angry!!!

Jesus' anger was because what was supposed to be a house of worship....a place to honor God....had been turned into a market place. It was shown no respect.
I'm taken back to a time when I was very young and was at Christmas play practice. The church had ceiling fans and some of the boys turned the fans on and were throwing hymnals into the fan trying to get them to land on top of the blades, to be slung off into the pews.
I remember thinking how terrible it was that this was being done in church....even at my young age I knew that those boys were not showing the respect that our precious church deserved.
Isn't this how each of us should feel about our church?
This was how Jesus felt about His Father's house!!!

On this the second day of "Holy Week", Jesus chased the money changers from the temple, overturning the tables they had set up. Then, He took the time to heal those who came to the temple with physical problems.

But....all along....He was being plotted against!!!

Matthew 21:12-16 (NLT)
Jesus entered the temple and began to drive out all the people buying and selling animals for sacrifice. He knocked over the tables of the money changers and the chairs of those selling doves. He said to them, “The Scriptures declare, ‘My Temple will be called a house of prayer,’ but you have turned it into a den of thieves!”
The blind and the lame came to him in the Temple, and he healed them. The leading priests and the teachers of religious law saw these wonderful miracles and heard even the children in the Temple shouting, “Praise God for the Son of David.”
But the leaders were indignant. They asked Jesus, “Do you hear what these children are saying?”
“Yes,” Jesus replied. “Haven’t you ever read the Scriptures? For they say, ‘You have taught children and infants to give you praise.

Blessings to you!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
