Lighten Up

It has come to my attention....
.....that I can be way too serious!!!
And....I've also come to realize....that I often think the worse about other people's intentions....when I'm probably the farthest thing from their minds!!!
Can I get an "I know where you're comin' from"...."I've felt the same way myself"??!!??

Any-who....I'm hoping that in the next few weeks....you'll see a change in the direction of some of my posts!!!
Oh, don't worry....there will be the recaps of my scripture reading for the week....and I'm still gonna show y'all some of the crafty things that I do (which I hope to do much more of since I'm feeling lots better)....and I'm not gonna quit posting about how much I love the Lord...and He loves me (and I thank Him every day for that)....but....I'm just feeling the need to "lighten up"....as the title of this post says!!!

So....to start off this "new me".....here's a little funny that I hope all of you will enjoy!!!

 How To Stop Church Gossip

Mildred, the church gossip, and self-appointed monitor of the church's morals, kept sticking her nose into other people's business. Several members did not approve of her extracurricular activities, but feared her enough to maintain their silence.

She made a mistake, however, when she accused Frank, a new member, of being an alcoholic after she saw his old pickup parked in front of the town's only bar one afternoon.

She emphatically told Frank (and several others) that every one seeing it there WOULD KNOW WHAT HE WAS DOING !

Frank, a man of few words, stared at her for a moment and just turned and walked away.  He didn't explain, defend, or deny.
He said nothing.

Later that evening, Frank quietly parked his pickup in front of Mildred's house....walked home....and left it there all night.

(You gotta love Frank!)

I bet if you think really hard....you'll know somebody just like "Mildred"....who obviously hasn't read this verse of scripture....

2 Thessalonians 3:11 (NLT)
Yet we hear that some of you are living idle lives, refusing to work and meddling in other people's business.

Friday Blessings to each of 'ya!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  2. Oh gosh that was so funny, I loved it. Gotta love Frank LOL.

I have often thought the same about myself - sometimes I just feel way too serious and "stuffy" for my own good. It's my neurotic tendencies I think!

  3. Good Morning!
Although this is such a cute story...there is a wonderful messagage in it! Don't we all worry too much about "what others are up to"...at the expense of focusing on what the Lord would have for us to do. I just love your posts...serious or not...you are a special lady!
