Weekly Recap #39 - (Part 4) Nahum

I feel like I've been typing for hours.....that could be because....I HAVE!!!

Do you all like that I've started listing each of the OT prophets in a separate post?  I wish I had done more of that in the beginning....creating a new post for each of the books.  It was a bit difficult to do that sometimes because of where we stopped off one week, and started back the next.  I'm hoping once all is said and done....to print off all of my recaps and have them printed....a copy for us to keep....and I would like to give a copy to each of our GRAND-sons!!!
Nannie in print....YEAH!!!

So...let's talk a little about Nahum!!!

~~~Nahum's name means "compassionate"
~~~He was a prophet who prophesied against Assyria.
~~~Other than that....there's little else known about him.
The message of the Lord came to Nahum in a vision concerning Nineveh (capital of Assyria).
Nahum 1:3
The Lord is slow to get angry, but His power is great and He never lets the guilty go unpunished.
Chapter 2 describes the fall of Nineveh.
Chapter 3 describes the Lord's judgment against Nineveh and it's destruction is described.
This was my favorite verse in the book of Nahum....
Nahum 1:7
The Lord is good, a strong refuge when trouble comes.  He is close to those who trust in Him.
 In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
