Let's get in shape!!!

You know how a lot of us are trying to get in better shape?  That's something that many people attempt at the beginning of a brand new year.  Wonder how many made that resolution to find that here it is the last week of January and they're pretty much where they started on January 1st?

I came across an acrostic for the word
S-H-A-P-E.....and this is the kind of getting in shape that I'm gonna be striving for!!

S - Sin
Is there sin you need to confess?
H - Habit
Is there some habit you need to correct?
A - Attitude
Is there an attitude you need to change?
P - Promise
Is there a promise you have not claimed?
E - Example
Are you an example for others to copy?

As much as I'm attempting to get in better shape physically....I know how important it is to keep my emotional and spiritual health in shape, too!!!

Proverbs 3:7-8
Don’t be impressed with your own wisdom.
Instead, fear the Lord and turn away from evil.
Then you will have healing for your body
      and strength for your bones.

Happy Monday, Everybody!!!

  7. Love the acrostic! It helps to have a way to remember these things. My favorite is J O Y, Jesus, Others, Yourself. I love the Jeremiah verse you have on your blog--I have to recall that one daily. Came over from Family Friendly Frugality--new follower.

  8. Good reminders in this post. I love the sign in your header! I don't remember seeing that before.

Kind words are like honey—
sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
