Excuse me....may I interrupt?

Christian Graphics

So often, we think we've got it all under control.  We're be-bopping along in life and things are going really well....not too many glitches.  Then....all of a sudden....WHAM!!!  It's like the dam broke and all kinds of things come flooding into our lives.  That's sort of what's happened to Pappy and me in the last six months, or so.  Life has just stepped right in and interrupted our otherwise peaceful existence....and it's certainly not all been a pleasant experience.  From his finding out that he would loose his job....to health troubles....to the death of my Mamaw....and to some other personal stuff....well, things just haven't been exactly what I would have chosen.

But God.....but our precious God....He makes no mistakes. These words kept echoing in my mind all day on Thursday,
"I love you and I'll protect you"!

I've come to realize that most of the time when things happen in our lives....God is the one interrupting.  It might hurt at first because it's unexpected and unplanned....but in the end, if we'll just let Him have His way....we'll find that He was only doing a bit of pruning and refining to make us what HE wants us to be!!!

Jeremiah 29:11-13 (NIV)
For I know the plans I have for you,”
declares the LORD, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you HOPE and a future.  Then you will call on me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you.   You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart.

AMEN...and AMEN!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  2. All this reminds me of things I jotted down from "The Red Sea Rules"!

Trials and troubles are dumbbells and treadmills for the soul.

His grace WILL continue to carry you, dear friend.

  4. How true, how true my friend- amazing that we were on the same wave length about interuptions from God, or hitting the wall as I put it. But I can't think of a better place to be than under His control- much as I may not like it. Hop on over to read "Busy?" at http://www.hilbobsattic.com if you haven't already.
