Are you a believer?

The messenger in the service that Pappy and I were a part of this past SONday challenged each of us to share our faith with a non-believer this week.  I know that many of those who were in the congregation work outside the home, or go to school.  They're in a position that allows them to come in contact with many different people throughout the week.  I don't have that advantage, since a lot of my week is either spent alone....or with Pappy....or with Jess and the boys....or in church with fellow believers.   I do "sneak in Jesus" when I'm out and about to store clerks, or cashiers....talking about weather He's blessed us with....striking up a conversation with people and being able to mention the precious name of Jesus somewhere in our talk.  But, as far as being in a situation where I'm "one on one" with somebody that I am pretty sure doesn't truly know Jesus as their Lord and Savior....well, that doesn't happen often with me.

The purpose of what I write here at Jeremiah 29:11 is for HIS glory.....but, I know that most people who visit here regularly already have a personal relationship with Jesus.  If anyone reading this doesn't know HIM....if you haven't accepted Him into your heart by admitting that you are a sinner and need Him....then I ask....no, I plead with you....that you don't wait another minute.  Since the death of my sweet Mamaw on May 7th, Pappy and I have gone to funerals, or receiving of friends, for about 15 people.....some older folk, and some not so "old".     None of us are promised one more day....one more hour....or even our next breath....before we are called to our final destiny.  My sincere prayer is that you can say beyond a shadow of a doubt....that your final destiny.....is gonna be spent in eternity.....
.....with JESUS!!!

If you've never accepted Jesus as your personal Savior....or if you aren't sure how to even go about doing that....or if you are already a believer but you really haven't turned your life completely over to Him, or have things in your life that you need to ask forgiveness for (and believe me, we've all been there)....then, take it to the Lord....NOW....without hesitation!!  Seek out someone you know is a CHRISTian and ask them for advice....speak with your pastor, or Sunday school teacher....someone you feel confident you can trust.  You don't have to go into detail about all that's "wrong" in your life....all it takes is admitting that you need HIM!!!!

The pastor shared a story about how he was counseling a young couple before they were to be married.  It was their last counseling session.....and in that very last session, the young man accepted Jesus into his heart.
Wasn't that a wonderful way to start off their marriage!!!
And....please know.....that if you need to "talk".....you can certainly leave me a comment....or send me a personal e-mail....and I'll share my faith with you.
I'm a sinner saved by grace....and I'm so thankful that His mercy for me is new and fresh every single morning!!!

Romans 10:9-10
If you confess with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved.   For it is by believing in your heart that you are made right with God, and it is by confessing with your mouth that you are saved.

HOPE you have a wonderful Thursday,
Sweet Reader!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. Amen! I could feel your compassion. We should always have that kind of compassion Jesus had for people who don't know Him.

  2. I love the way you have shared your faith in this post. Like you I hardly ever have any one on one time with people who do not already have faith. I think blogging is a wonderful tool for people like you and me. Thank you for sharing.
    Blessings,
    Charlotte
