By comparison....

I discovered a long time ago that there's always going to be somebody who is "better at it" than I am.  My  prayer is that we'll each recognize our own individual gifts, talents and abilities....

....given to us by God....

....to be used for HIS glory!!!

And....to quit comparing ourselves with others!!!

Galatians 6:4 (NLT)
Pay careful attention to your own work, for then you will get the satisfaction of a job well done, and you won’t need to compare yourself to anyone else.

HOPE you have a "marvelous" Monday,
Sweet Reader!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

Kind of goes along with your great post, Deb. You're right, Deb. Life is short. No time for comparing!

  2. How many times have I been the little girl playing dress up in mother's shoes and pearls in my adult life and the shoes were to big and I stumbled and fell....thankful this morning that the LORD has shown me that I have "my very own set of special shoes" ones He gave me to enable me to walk the path he has chosen and called me too....

  3. Amen. Thanks for this. I have done this before and it isn't good. It is a waste of time. Love that quote.

  4. The only one I need to compare myself to is MYSELF...as a wise man said, 'Am I doing a little better today then yesterday, am I a little kinder, a little more patient, etc.?'

    Thanks
