For several years, I've made our niece a scarf and/or hat for CHRISTmas. I really like this hat pattern. She likes "silver" so I found the perfect button for the center of the flower. Also, the flower can be removed and used elsewhere....another hat, lapel, purse....hair band!!!! Notice the edging on the scarf....that's something else I just learned how to do. It was a trim on an afghan I just finished and thought it would be great to finish up a scarf!!!
Both hat and scarf were crocheted holding two strands of yarn together...one a solid Red Heart, color "carrot" and the other one a variegated yarn....love how they turned out!!!
