Chalk Talk!!!!

In the last couple of weeks, the prayer of Jabez came up in conversation three separate times....with three different people.  Each time, it was the other person, not me, who mentioned the prayer by Jabez in I Chronicles 4.  And....on yet another occasion....I was talking with a new friend of mine and she mentioned praying for God's blessings and I just wondered if we had been able to talk longer, if she wouldn't have said something about Mr. Jabez also!!!

So....I totally believe that God is trying to get my attention about how I pray on the topic of asking for blessings and God's abundance....which is something that I've always found very difficult to do.  I felt that praying for His blessings is selfish, because He's already blessed me above and beyond what I deserve.

But....to serve as a reminder....guess what's currently residing on my kitchen chalkboard?!?!

I think it needs to stay there until I know it by heart!!!

Hope y'all have a great Monday!!!

In HIS Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. Debbie, I was cleaning off my book shelf in my little room (my other home) and there my little book on the Prayer of Jabez sat in hiding! Almost forgot I had it and then I spotted my little Secret of the Vine. Needless to say I dusted those little babies off and sat them front and center. Need to go back and read my Jabez again! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  2. I do believe I have that book some where too. Perhaps I should find it, and commit it to memory as well!

  3. It's been a while since I thought about the Prayer of Jabez. I have the little book around here somewhere, I'm going to go look for it!
