(Too) High Expectations

Way too often I set my expectations of others....
and myself....
way too high.
Struggling in this area of my life!

Romans 14:10-13
So why do you condemn another believer?
Why do you look down on another believer?
Remember, we will all stand before the judgment seat of God.
For the Scriptures say,

“‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bend to me,
and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.’”

Yes, each of us will give a personal account to God.
So let’s stop condemning each other.
Decide instead to live in such a way
that you will not cause another believer to stumble and fall.

In HIS Most Precious Lve....and with mine, too!!!

Blessings,
Deb

  2. We just talked about this recently in my new class on Wed. Even Jesus could not live up to the expectation of others when He walked on earth as a man. When we place high expectations on humans we are in for disappointment there is no doubt. The only person that should ever truly be placed on a Pedestal is CHRIST. You know Deb, I know this...I've read this...but there has been times in my life that I have so placed someone higher than I should have...have placed expectations on them that I felt they failed me and well...the story goes on. Thank you for the sweet reminder that
‘As surely as I live,’ says the Lord,
‘every knee will bend to me,and every tongue will confess and give praise to God.’ and that includes ME! Hugs and blessings, Cindy
