Dignity and Grace.....

Pappy and I went to see our friend, Teresa, Saturday afternoon.
One of her boys.....
who is also my second cousin.....
had called and said we might want to come and see her.
Her sister told me that she had spent a recent night "preaching" about the word of God and that there was only ONE way to heaven!!
There was a small straight backed chair sitting beside the hospital bed they had placed in her living room, and they told us that she had spent a lot of time talking to somebody in the "empty" chair.....
don't you just know it had to be JESUS?

On our way home,
we drove through a rain shower and the sun was shining brightly,
so we both began looking for the rainbow.
I had never seen a rainbow like the one we spotted.
It was up against the side of a big hill and the end of it was in a field.....
yes, we saw the end of the rainbow!
Pappy and I agreed that it was just a confirmation to us of God's precious promises!

Teresa went home to be with our precious Lord and Savior about
nine o'clock last night!
I can only imagine the celebration she had with her Daddy and Momma and her sister.....
and best of all with JESUS!!!

As Pappy and I lay in bed last night talking about Teresa's long battle with pancreatic cancer.....
he said these verses of scripture reminded him of our friend,
although she would have never used them to describe herself.....

2 Timothy 4:7
I have fought the good fight,
I have finished the race,
and I have remained faithful.

The words that come to mind when I think of how she's handled all that she's gone through are.....
Dignity and Grace.

Please keep her family in your thoughts and prayers!

Breathing in Grace,

Deb
