{ Is it right? }

Is It Right?

Cowardice asks the question,
‘Is it safe?’
Expediency asks the question,
‘Is it politic?’
And, Vanity comes along and asks the question,
'Is it popular?'
But Conscience asks the question,
'Is it right?'

And there comes a time when one must take a position that is neither safe, nor politic, nor popular, but he must do it because Conscience tells him it is right.

~Martin Luther King~

Sometimes doing the right thing will be the absolute least popular.  It will go against any advice we seek from our friends and/or family. And, often it will be extremely difficult to do simply because of our fearful nature, and for me that's the fear of getting hurt. Also, Satan is  going to try his best to talk us out of it.  I've found in my own life when I go ahead and do it anyway, through the leading and prompting of the Holy Spirit, things will fall into place exactly as they should.  It has nothing to do with me at all.....

it's all for Him and His glory.

  2. I have found that stepping out in faith can be very scary, but when I do I find many blessings waiting for me!! Hope you have a great week-end. It's rodeo days in Houston and I'm watching the Rodeo parade from the comfort of my living room!!

  3. Yep!! You are SO right about this!! As long as you get the "go-ahead" from God's Holy Spirit, it doesn't matter WHAT people may say or think...God will see you through! Love it. ....So now, just what are you planning to do? Or was this just an "in general" statement, not applying to you at this moment in time? Inquiring minds want to know! :)

  4. And sometime doing the right thing is so hard and letting go and letting God is the best all around. Worry is my issue and I have tried and tried to get rid of it and rely on my God. Maybe we should pray for each other and ask God to help us.

  5. Doing the right thing may be hard at times but God will give us the strength if we ask him, and that is a blessing.
