{ Friday Foto Friends #107 }

Y'all, life seems to keep getting busier and busier so my foto taking has been kinda slack.  I did manage to take these three pics to share today.

Last Friday I took a stroll over to the woods while Pappy worked on Mom's lawn mower.   Am I the only person who likes the look of lichen and moss growing on old logs?

I found these beautiful leaves in Mom's yard but I think they must have come from a tree in the neighbor's yard. They were really thick and looked like they'd been gold and silver leafed.

The sun started to set before Pappy finished up and this was the view to the west.....

HOPE everybody has a great weekend.

We'll be celebrating Pappy's birthday!
💕
And hopefully decorating for CHRIST-mas!

  1. I had just posted about my chance encounter with the elk when I saw your post come up, so I am quite happy to be the first to share today with you for Friday Foto Debbie. Blessings to you today :)

  2. PS: I loved the pictures of the beautiful leaves you found! They are really beautiful and I wonder what kind of tree they would come from. And that sunset really just is amazing! We have seen some wonderful sunsets and sunrises lately here too. Such majesty and beauty in the skies!

  5. I believe those are magnolia leaves that have been basking in the sun for a while! I also love to look at lichen on the tree trunks...Your picture is especially interesting! Love the sunset...love that you are celebrating Pappy's birthday and decorating for Christmas...maybe we will see more of that later? I am slowly but surely getting my decorating started. It pretty much takes most of the month to get it done, and then it is time to take it down! LOL!! But I enjoy doing it in stages as I feel inspired. Have a blessed and wonderful weekend. I missed y'all last weekend...just totally blew by too fast!

  6. Great pictures. I am breaking down and getting myself a camera. You always have amazing photos. I love the log pictures. Grew up playing deep in the woods so anything with moss, leaves, and logs is some of my fave photos.

  10. Well, you got three lovely photos to share with us and those leaves really are pretty. You could almost paint them gold and silver and use them as Christmas decorations! The sunset is gorgeous! Hope life slows down a little bit for you!!
