{ Friday Foto Friends #146 }

Sharing a few fotos I took this week on my walk around the neighborhood, even though they're not the best quality. I have to get out early, or it won't happen at all, due to the heat.  I'm beginning to wonder if it'll ever cool down!

The tulip poplars seem to be the first trees to put out their leaves in the spring and the first ones to start falling in autumn. We've had afternoon thunderstorms this week with some wind and our yard is already filled with leaves.

It's hard to see in this pic, but I love how the light streams through the trees.

A little blurry because it's difficult to focus heading into the sun....

I told Pappy that I feel like sometimes I talk more than I walk because I run into several folks who are also out walking and one gentleman who sits on his porch in the early mornings who I stop and chat with.   Years ago when I walked that would have bugged me, having to slow down or stop - had to keep that heart rate up, you know. Not so much anymore!

HOPE your Friday is fantastic and you have a wonderful weekend!

  1. The walkers here in my neighborhood love to stop and talk. Taking a walk is a social thing here! LOL But we are all old and stopping here and there is a good thing!! Love your photos and the light streaming through the tree branches is beautiful!

  3. I love that you stop and chat with your neighbor on his porch...that is what neighbors should do! That's what front porches are for! I love your pictures of the trees, especially with the sunlight filtering through. That is one of my favorite views of the trees around here too. Yes, autumn leaves are beginning to turn and fall, even here in Florida, where we don't have many true "autumn leaves", but I am seeing signs of change everywhere. Perhaps because it was such a wet summer here...Anyway, I love your pictures and the thought of walking in a neighborhood where people stop and chat. Have a blessed and sweet weekend.

  5. Beautiful pictures. I stop and talk to people too though I don't come across too many on my walk.

  6. Isn't it good how as we age God helps us to realize that a lot of the things we thought were so important when we were younger (i.e. keeping the heart rate up) really aren't as important as we once thought? His concern is people so when I come upon someone when I am out walking I tend to stop and talk as well.
