{ Monday Musings }

Sharing a few random thoughts on this beautiful Monday....

* We had such a good Easter SONday -
it was a bit different than usual, as we had 3 people who weren't 'family', but needed a place to go and feel welcome. Two of them were kinda last minute invites by Jess so I'm not gonna lie....
I prayed a loaves and fishes prayer over the food asking that there be enough....
and the prayer was answered....
 with leftovers....
not 12 baskets full, but still!!!
😊

* Our message yesterday morning was so good. I scribbled about 3 pages of notes and went back and re-read them this morning. Our Pastor's sermon was based on an acrostic for the word DAWN. If you know me very well, you know how much I love acrostics - and words. The last words I had written down were "no other way" - there is NO OTHER WAY to heaven or to find joy in this crazy, mixed-up world except through JESUS!

* Speaking of DAWN -
today is a new day dawning -
a new beginning -
a day to start over and begin again -
so that's what I'm planning on doing.
Will it be an all at once change?
No, because I know me well enough to know that progress takes baby steps. But I started a journey two years ago exactly from today - the day after Easter - and I began again this morning.

* I was sick all last week with the 'Tenessee crud'! (thank you so much, pollen)
And it was also a rainy, dreary week, but today the sun is gorgeous. I got a good walk in this morning, listened to an interesting podcast and had a nutritious breakfast to start off my day (well, that was after a bit of time with Jesus)!

This is just a whole lot about nothing, but I'm feeling so much better and felt like writing. This return to blogging is more for myself than anybody else....
that sounded selfish but I feel like it's therapeutic for me and something that I need at this time in my life.

Anyway....
I HOPE everybody has a great Monday and a fantastic week ahead.

  1. Just like God to bless and multiply ain't it? Those 3 people will always remember your hospitality. Hugs and blessings, Cindy

  2. I love this...so happy God provided the abundance of food for the extra people. He always does. Somehow! I love your thoughts about the word "Dawn", as that is the name of our sweet grandson's fiancee', who has come to visit us for the first time and they may be staying a while. She is a very dear young lady, and I already love her, but I do pray for her as she is still young in her faith in Christ (claims to be a "Christian", but seems to have a more universalist viewpoint of what that means, so please pray she fully learns to trust in Christ alone. ) but yes, each day is a new Dawn, a new beginning...and God has brought her and our grandson here for a purpose. We prayed for God to lead them and guide them into a closer walk with Him...and so He led them right here into our laps. Praying God will give us wisdom concerning how to do whatever it is He wants us to do. I am so glad you are back to blogging again. It's not just for you even if you think so. See? already God has used what you wrote to bless me when I needed it. Thank you for listening to His call to write. Amen. Have a blessed and glorious Easter week.
