Seasons of our lives!!

I think I made a mistake....imagine that!!! For some reason, I thought last Saturday was the first day of Autumn....Fall....but I've learned it was actually yesterday...the 22nd!!! Sorry 'bout that!!!

Genesis 1:14 (NKJV)
Then God said, “Let there be lights in the firmament of the heavens to divide the day from the night; and let them be for signs and seasons, and for days and years;

According to the scripture in Genesis, God spoke the world into creation...including the different seasons. To me, that's one of the greatest things about living in East Tennessee....the distinctive changing of seasons, with each of them holding a beauty all their own. And....in thinking about the different seasons...it made me think about the seasons of our lives, and how God can use everybody...young, middle-aged, and elderly (I don't like the word "old")...for His glory.
Babes......
Psalm 8:2 (NLT) You have taught children and infants to tell of your strength, silencing your enemies and all who oppose you.
Children......III John 1:4 (NLT) I could have no greater joy than to hear that my children are following the truth.
Young Men and Women.......Proverbs 1:3-5 (NKJV) To receive the instruction of wisdom, justice, judgment, and equity; to give prudence to the simple, to the young man knowledge and discretion. A wise man will hear and increase learning, and a man of understanding will attain wise counsel.

Elderly....... Job 12:12 (NKJV) Wisdom is with aged men, and with length of days, understanding.
I love this verse:
Romans 2:11 (KJV) For there is no respect of persons with God.
This tells us so much...that God loves us all...He has no more love for the young than He does the elderly....loves both rich and poor....loves us no matter the color of our skin!!!
So, as the seasons change....and as the seasons of our lives change (I think I'm into the "fall" of my own life)....we need to remember that God can still use us. I think about people who are much older than me, but they are still working for the Lord. So....don't ever think that you're too young, or too "old"....God can still use you!!! We each are a part of "every purpose under heaven"!!!!
Ecclesiastes 3:1 (NKJV) To everything there is a season, a time for every purpose under heaven.
In His Love...and with mine!!!
P.S...I thank the subject of this blog to Pap...I asked him what he thought I could write about, and he said "the seasons changing"...well, that's all I needed to hear because the Lord just kept giving me things to write about from that point on!!! Ain't God good...oh, yes He is!!!!
