So many of my posts this week have been very serious and about things that concern all of us. I don't want to take away from any of that, because we have so many things to pray about....but....I want today's blog to be a little more light-hearted. Last Friday, I posted a recipe, and I think I might have started a new trend. I received favorite recipes from several of you and want to share those. If any of the rest of you have a favorite, or two, please send them to me at

Today's recipe is from my buddy, Tonya, for her "famous" sausage balls...yum, yum, yum!!! And...she says you can definitely tell the difference if you don't use Swaggerty sausage...so....let's support a local business!!!!

1 lb. Swaggerty sausage
2 cups sharp shredded cheddar cheese
3 cups Bisquick

"I tear off my sausage in little "pinches", mix in my cheese and squish it all up with my hands and then I add my Bisquick.....work it all together and roll up the balls, you can make them any size you want.....and I usually have a little of the mixture left over....not sausage, but like a little of the Bisquick....when the balls are rolled up and ready to cook, they should fill up a normal sized cookie sheet pan. I use the aluminum pan and put aluminum foil over it (for easy clean up) spray it with Pam, and then put the balls on there to bake at 350 for about 15 min. (all ovens are different) could take longer or less, but you'll know they're done when they're a little brown."

With the weather turning cooler...these sound so good to me.

In His Love...and with mine!!!

  1. thanks for putting my recipe on here, haley asked me..."does it make you feel special?" I said yes, actually it does......:-) LOL
and they look amazingly like mine!
now I'm craving them. I love to make them, especially this time of year, when there is a "nip of cool" in the air.
    love ya!
