A couple more deals

Remember I told you that Goodwill was having a half-price sale?!?!
Well, I just found out something today from my dear daughter....they have a half-price sale the last Friday and Saturday of EVERY month!!!!!
I did not know that!!!
Plus, I've got to give Jess some credit right here. I was never much of a thrift store shopper until I quit work....and our economy these days make most all of us have to do things to cut back.
But, Jess has always shopped thrift stores and could walk into a store and spot something brand-name right off the bat. Like today...we're in a thrift store that I love to shop at because the money goes to Appalachian Outreach and Samaritan House....and she walked right over and picked up a beautiful metal wall container...heart shaped...and it was Home Interior!!!

I wish my eyesight was better!!!!!

Anyway...here's the little Valentiney deals I found today:

The little soapstone box at the top was a whopping quarter...yes, you heard that right...TWENTY-FIVE CENTS!!!
I cleaned her up and she holds my rings while I wash dishes!!!
(which is another story in itself...I do not own a dishwasher...and I never have...and at this age, I probably never will...and people have all kinds of comments to make about that!!!)

And, the plates...they are a brand-name....ceramic....and were sitting on a counter holding jewelry. I asked the clerk if they were for sale, and she told me "sure".
Guess how much?!?!?!
50 cents for BOTH!!!
God was smiling on our bargain shopping today!!!

Now...this picture has nothing to do with bargain shopping...but....I have to share it with you. This is Big Brother and Little Bit holding hands, both sitting in their car seats.
Is that not just the most precious thing you've ever seen????
Oh, how we love our boys!!!
(Note how blue Big Brother's hands and fingers are...no they're not bruises.
He wanted the blue ice cream at Baskin Robbins and it was a bit messy!!!)
