Prayerful Thursday

****Correction****
I'm so sorry for the typo
#5 should be "Belinda Dunn"

***Edited***
I've added a couple more

Pastor Dallas recited the following quote
by Charles Spurgeon,
which I think is appropriate for our Thursday blog of prayer requests:

"Before we can have victory on our feet,
we must have victory on our knees".
Romans 12:12 (NLT)

Rejoice in our confident hope.
Be patient in trouble, and keep on praying.

1. Ms. Norma Watson
Ms. Norma is such a sweet, special, precious lady. I've known her for a few years, but really got close to her when I changed Sunday school classes several months ago. Ms. Norma has colon cancer and is facing surgery in the next few weeks.

2. Ms. Thelma Johnson
Ms. Thelma is my Sunday school teacher. She's been sick for several weeks, and has missed church. She finally got to come to church last night, but is still having problems.

3. Ms. Stella Underwood
Ms. Stella had a stroke and has some paralysis.

4. Mr. Bob Heil's Father passed away

5. Ms. Belinda Dunn
Ms. Belinda is facing a biopsy next Monday.

6. Mr. George Cate
Mr. George had eye surgery on Monday for cataracts and glaucoma.

7. Mr. Sonny Gray (and Ms. Donna)
Mr. Sonny has a malignant brain tumor.

8. Mr. Jim Christian
Mr. Jim has been in the hospital with pneumonia.

9. Ms. Bertha James
Ms. Bertha is home from the hospital, but is still having health problems.

10. Ms. Tiffany Cate
Ms. Tiffany is having a biopsy today and surgery next week.

11. Amanda
Ms. Amanda's husband of 13 years left her and their 3 children.

12. Mr. Roach
Mr. Roach lost his job.

13. Baby Molly
Miss Molly had the procedure done this week and a biopsy was taken, but the doctor didn't see anything wrong.

14. Faye Winstead
Ms. Faye has pancreatic cancer.

15. Ms. Sonya
Ms. Sonya had a melanoma removed from her tummy on Monday and is awaiting results from some other biopsies.

16. Ms. Dawn
Ms. Dawn is still healing from the removal of a skin cancer.

Please take the time to pray for each of these individuals who are facing such a wide range of things going on in their lives. I've had some things on my mind lately, but every time I get a bit down, or discouraged, I try to realize just how blessed I am and that my troubles are so trivial compared to what so many of our church family is going thru.

In His Love...and with mine!!!

  2. Lauren Cate is going to have gallblader surgery, I think next week, so I find if I don't get back to you on it.
