Judge Not

Yesterday was a very long day for me!! I got up with a headache...and it didn't get any better. I called my doctor and she left me some samples of my migraine medicine, so I went after those....taking one as soon as I got back to the car. For those of you who suffer from migraines....you know that sometimes the medicine makes you feel about as bad as the migraine itself. The headache went away.....but I was left with a groggy, sick to my stomach feeling!! I felt so bad that I didn't even feel up to preparing a post for today. Isn't it amazing how God knows....and understands....and prepares, even when we are totally unaware of what's going on?!?!?!? When I took the time to sit down and read my e-mails in the early evening, we had received one from a fellow that we go to church with....and when I read it....I immediately knew that would be today's post!!!

Judge Not
I was shocked, confused, bewildered
As I entered Heaven's door,
Not by the beauty of it all,
Nor the lights or its decor.
But it was the folks in Heaven
Who made me sputter and gasp--
The thieves, the liars, the sinners,
The alcoholics and the trash!
There stood the kid from seventh grade
Who swiped my lunch money twice.
Next to him was my old neighbor
Who never said anything nice.
Herb, who I always thought
Was rotting away in hell,
Was sitting pretty on cloud nine,
Looking incredibly well.
I nudged Jesus, 'What's the deal?
I would love to hear Your take.
How'd all these sinners get up here?
God must've made a mistake.
'And why is everyone so quiet,
So somber - give me a clue.'
'Hush, child,' He said, 'they're all in shock.
No one thought they'd be seeing YOU!'

Don't you agree...that the following verses of scripture....fit perfectly for today?

I really like how it's worded in the New Living Translation!!

Matthew 7:1-5
“Do not judge others, and you will not be judged. For you will be treated as you treat others. The standard you use in judging is the standard by which you will be judged. “And why worry about a speck in your friend’s eye when you have a log in your own? How can you think of saying to your friend, ‘Let me help you get rid of that speck in your eye,’ when you can’t see past the log in your own eye? Hypocrite! First get rid of the log in your own eye; then you will see well enough to deal with the speck in your friend’s eye.

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
