Deep in thought

Somebody told me.....sometime ago....that I'm a deep thinker.
I never thought so...until I went deep into thought about it...and yes....I think I am!!! ha! ha!
So...that being said....here's something that I thought about the other morning.
A lady in our subdivision had a stroke several years ago. She still lives alone, but she has some trouble walking and with her speech. She was trying to go to get to her mailbox to put a card in it, just as I was walking past her house....so....I asked if she would like for me to do it for her....and it seemed to really make her happy that she didn't have to struggle to do it herself.
So...here were my thoughts.
What if....just what if....over 3 years ago....I hadn't listened to the Lord's prompting for me to quit my job...and what if I hadn't listened to His prompting to walk that particular morning (because sometimes HE has to nudge me...okay, HE has to drag me out of bed!!!)...and what if this lady had tried to take something to her mail box and had fallen and possibly broken a hip?
My thoughts went in a couple of different directions on this:
#1....we should ALWAYS be aware of that still small voice and what He is prompting us to do.
and....
#2....we should NEVER think that we don't matter...that we are nothing in the grand scheme of things...because....remember:

Romans 8:28 (NLT)
And we know that God causes everything to work together for the good of those who love God and are called according to his purpose for them.

Aren't you so very glad...that God's on His throne...."nudging" us with His Holy Spirit....and looking into the future....so that He can see exactly what He needs us to do NOW....to possibly fill a need somewhere down the road?!?!?

Ain't God good???

Oh, yes HE is!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
