Prayerful Thursday

Have you ever in your life heard of so many people sick? It's just unreal the things that are going around, surgeries, aches and pains that so many people are suffering from right now!!! For a few months, I've been sending out the prayer requests for our church. I guess being so close to the situation just makes me realize how many people are suffering and in need of prayer. It also makes me realize how very blessed I am that our family is all healthy and nothing major is going on right now (hope I haven't spoken too soon!!!). are the prayer requests for this week:
1. Mr. W. R. and Ms. Ruth Thompson
Mr. W.R. is in the hospital because of some heart problems. They've changed his medications and hopefully this will put him on the right track. Ms. Ruth is a diabetic and she had to undergo surgery on Wednesday due to complications from the diabetes. Please keep this couple in your thoughts and prayers and also their daughters, as they take care of them.
2. Elijah Spoon
This young man is a 7th grader. He started out with a sinus infection that turned into meningitis and was placed on life support. Please, please pray for his recovery and for his family in this very stressful time.
3. Mr. Jim Busic
Mr. Jim is having lots of medical problems. Please keep him and Ms. Kathy in your prayers.
4. Ms. Amanda
Ms. Amanda is the daughter of a sweet friend of mine. I went all thru high school with her Mom...then Amanda went all thru grammar school, and high school, with Jess. She will be undergoing some tests next Monday, so please keep her in your prayers, as well as her Mom who will be traveling to be with
Ms. Amanda.

6. Ms. Dorothy Cate
Ms. Dorothy is having some trouble with her back and will be having a procedure done next Monday, the 12th. Please keep her in your thoughts and prayers. She's a dear lady we go to church with!!!

Mr. Jim will be having knee surgery sometime soon, and also surgery on his shoulder. He just underwent surgery on the other knee a few weeks ago. Please keep him in your prayers, and also Ms. Angie.
8. Ms. Shelia Messer
Ms. Shelia will be having surgery next week. Please remember her and Mr. Theo in your thoughts and prayers.
9. Ms. Janis
Ms. Janis had an MRI on her back yesterday and will....HOPEFULLY....get the results back this afternoon. Please keep Ms. Janis in your prayers that God will lay His healing hand on her back and take away the pain...and that whatever the problem is...does not require surgery!!!

Ms. Ottinger is in the hospital and is having complications from surgery. Please keep Ms. Ottinger in your prayers, along with her family. She is Ms. Rhonda Mills' grandmother.

12. Pastor Search Committee - Beech Springs Baptist Church
Please continue to pray for our church and the search committee as they seek God's guidance...and His choosing the right man to stand in our pulpit and bring us God's word!!!
