Kris Kringle...and Jessica Mary Claus

Did you know....that Santa's wife has a name?
Well...a name other than Mrs. Santa Claus?
I did a little Google search...and her name is Jessica Mary Claus.  Her Mom picked her middle name after Jesus' mother, Mary.  And...did you know....that the name Kris Kringle comes from the southern Germany Christkindle, meaning "Christ child"?
Don't you love to learn little bits of trivia?

Here are a couple of Kris Kringles...and a Jessica Mary Claus...that I painted...33 years ago.  It was mine and Pappy's first Christmas together....in 1977.
So...would they be considered "vintage"?

Do you remember when people are kind to you...
...and when they pay you a compliment?
Every time I look at Mrs. Claus....I'm reminded of my Uncle Harry....and how he bragged on the details on her dress...which I remember painting...with a toothpick....while sitting at the little old rickety table in the house we rented when we first got married.
I know that doesn't mean anything to anybody but me....but thought I'd let you know....that your kind words really do mean something....so don't ever hesitate to share them with others!!!

Christmas Blessings to you,
