Appointments....

.....or....disappointments?!?!?!

Here are a couple of little incidents that happened to me last week:

I went to get my stitches removed (don't worry....no graphic details, or pictures). My appointment was at 9:15. I arrived early, as is normal for me. I waited in my car until the lady opened the office...went in...and was told that the nurse had called in sick. The receptionist called the nurse back and asked what she should do since she had a patient already there to get stitches removed....and the nurse asked her....to ask me....if I could come back at FIVE O'CLOCK. Long story short....another nurse came in who lived nearby and removed them.

Second little incident....

I had an eye appointment on Saturday at our local Lenscrafters.  My appointment was at 12,  but when I told the receptionist my name....she had no record of me having an appointment.  She called another location and they didn't have me down either.  She asked if I could return at 2:00....so the errands that Pappy and I had planned to run after my appointment and picking out my glasses....got post-poned until after my 2:00 appointment.

Why am I telling you this?
Neither of these incidents really upset me very much...well, I take that back...they both did a little!!!!   But....I told Pappy afterwards...that what if things had worked out as originally planned....we could have left the mall and gotten in a car accident, or something else bad happened to us.  I shared with my friends that the nurse who removed my stitches was so kind and gentle....the nurse who was sick might not have been as tender hearted!!!

Aren't you glad that our plans aren't the same as God's...and that sometimes he throws a monkey wrench in our plans...and works them out "according to His plan"?

Yeah...me, too!!!

Romans 8:28 (KJV)
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
