Women vs. Women

This is something that's been on my mind for some time....and I want to share it with y'all.  Plus...since God placed this on my heart last week...and I began a rough draft...several things have happened to confirm that this is what He was asking me to share!!!  That's how I try to write my posts....I wait for HIS confirmation that it's from HIM!!!'s what's on my heart:

Have you ever noticed how....sometimes....women can be other women's worst enemy?!?!?
For example....say you know a lady who says she's going on a diet.....and you see that she's sticking with the plan, exercising, eating healthy...and the weight is coming you congratulate her....or, do you just ignore it because you're a tad jealous?  Maybe you've tried and failed at dieting and you secretly hope that she fails, too....been there, I hate to admit it!!  Sad
If you see another lady who is wearing a new outfit...are you jealous...or, do you tell her how good it looks on her, or that's a perfect color for her?  A friend gets a new hair cut....a could be you notice and comment?  Do you try to make others feel guilty if their opinion isn't the same as yours?  Do you try to talk a friend into doing something just so that you'll feel better about doing it?  Are you envious because somebody has a better job than you...they make more money....has a nicer home....built better....less gray hair....don't work....gifted singer....can play a musical crafty....a good seamstress....
....this list could go on and on!!!

I've decided....that us girls....we've gotta stick together....we've gotta support one another and not be jealous, or envious, or whatever word you might choose!!!   When we disagree with a decision that somebody makes....we've gotta realize that we probably don't know all the circumstances that lead to that decision!'s what I want us to do...if we see somebody who is loosing weight...looking good...wearing a color that is just right for their complexion...doing a good job at something....let's all put any jealousy aside...and just let them know that we've noticed.
 Pay them a compliment!!!
Encourage them!!!
In the long run...we'll have "killed two birds with one stone" making someone else feel better...and feeling better about ourselves, knowing that we did the right thing!!!

Galatians 5:14-17 (NLT)
For the whole law can be summed up in this one command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” But if you are always biting and devouring one another, watch out! Beware of destroying one another.
So I say, let the Holy Spirit guide your lives. Then you won’t be doing what your sinful nature craves.  The sinful nature wants to do evil, which is just the opposite of what the Spirit wants. And the Spirit gives us desires that are the opposite of what the sinful nature desires. These two forces are constantly fighting each other, so you are not free to carry out your good intentions.

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. It's a work in progress, I try to be alert to others and how they look but sometimes my tiredness takes over and my awareness sonar isn't on high but very low and my brain is half a sleep.

Kind words are like honey—
sweet to the soul and healthy for the body.
