Decluttering.....

 .....my closets and cabinets....

I've never really liked to throw away things, usually hanging onto them because of that "what if" factor.  You know...."what if" I loose weight and can get back into it....or, "what if" I might need it.

When I first quit work, I did a lot of cleaning out and did what I thought was "decluttering".
A few months back, I went thru my kitchen cabinets again and got rid of even more bowls....lids without bowls....old T-ware that had yellowed.
And, guess what?
I'm ready to do it again.

For some reason....as I'm getting older....I'm liking less and less "stuff".
Now, don't get me wrong....I still have way too much "stuff"....and used to try to have yard sales to make a little money off of my stuff.
But....I've decided...that it blesses me much more to think that I've blessed somebody else....so I've been taking my boxed up goodies to a local thrift store where the proceeds go to a couple of wonderful charities.

I came across this on The Red Chair Blog.
See if you don't agree that we can all find truth in it when it comes to getting rid of our "stuff".

Another great encourager.....is The Fly Lady
Go check out her site and see all her great ideas!!!
My favorite....is probably using a timer to get jobs done.  I love seeing how much I can accomplish in just 15 minutes!!

Decluttering.....my thought closet.....

If only it was as easy to declutter my mind as it is to throw things in a box and take them to the thrift store!!!  This takes a bit more work.  I've mentioned already about the wonderful Bible study that several ladies at our church are involved in.

It has really helped me to see how so many of the negative thoughts that I have....are so very far from the truth!!!

Decluttering....my body....

And....finally....this one is probably the most difficult of all!!!  I've shared with y'all that I've had a weight problem most of my life.   And...for the ump-teenth time....I'm trying to do something about it.
More on this topic later!!!

So....
....these are the 3 ways I'm "decluttering".
And you know what.....it's so freeing to get rid of "stuff"....
....literally....emotionally....and physically!!!

Hebrews 12:1-2 (NLT)
Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down.....

Blessings to you!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
