I have a bad case of.....

.....the dropsy!!!

No....not the problem of swelling in my tissues....although maybe that could be the cause of my big belly.
No....what I'm talking about is just the plain old
"I can't hold onto anything without dropping it" problem.

Let me explain.
I got up yesterday morning with a horrendous headache.  I didn't really want to get up at all, but needed to go to the potty (sorry, that's probably a bit TMI).  After the potty break, I went to take medicine for my head....but decided I better eat something first....or the OTC migraine medicine might hurt my tummy (you know the big one described above).  So....I got in the fridge to get out the apple sauce that I like to spread on top of my oatmeal....and in the process knocked down a jar of mayonnaise (light mayo to be exact).  Thank goodness, it wasn't glass....but it slid underneath my island so I had to get down to retrieve it.  Then....I got in the pantry to get out my oatmeal....and as I reached for it, I knocked off 2 boxes of instant oatmeal of Pappy's.
Then....I use Splenda in my oatmeal, and as I opened up a couple of the packets, I dropped a wrapper into the floor.
I put my oatmeal into the microwave, and while it was cooking I went into the bedroom to put away some laundry.  As I passed the mirror, I noticed something on the side of my eye.  Thinking it's probably smeared mascara, I try to rub it off...only to discover that rubbing it really HURT.  (no, I don't always remove my make-up before I go to bed)  As it began to hurt...and only get redder....I vaguely remembered that I had hit the side of my face with my curling iron while fixing my hair for church Sunday morning.  So....yes....you guessed it....I was rubbing the hide off a burn.
OUCH!!!
So....I go to the medicine cabinet to get some burn ointment....only to drop the tube into the commode.
Then....I go back into the bedroom to finish putting up clothes....and my phone rings.  It's in the kitchen, so I go get it....get on the phone and talk for quite a while to Jess....only to realize after I got off the phone that I hadn't even eaten my  breakfast yet!!!
By this time, it was  cold (cold oatmeal is very yucky)....so I had to warm it up!!

I decided to go out and walk....surely I would be safe walking in the great outdoors....wide open spaces....nothing to drop!!!

When I got back, I started working on my snack to take to our Ladies Bible study class....as I got into the drawer where I keep my pans....I had to remove a bunch of knives from one of the pans...and...yes....I cut my hand!!!  I had to wait for that to quit bleeding to get started.  As I was preparing my "fruit pizza"....I realized that it might not be big enough for our group....and didn't want to go  back to the store for more ingredients....so I had to get back in the same drawer....move those same knives around....for my other pan....which I used to make a chocolate cake!!

Then....after all of this was finished up....it was time for a shower....and as I was washing my face....I totally forgot about the burn....and rubbed it really good....or bad....whichever you're supposed to say.  Either way....it HURT.

So....I finish up....get out of the shower....and I always put on moisturizer after I shower....and yes, I forgot again....and rubbed the moisturizer right over the burn....which caused even more "BURN"!!!

So....that was my Monday morning.
How was yours?!?!?
And it all started with a bad case of the "dropsy"!!!
Did I let all of this get me down?
Did I just decide to stay home and not even go to our Bible study?
At one point in my life, I would have taken all of this as a "sign" that I just needed to stay home and get some rest.
Not this time....I refused to let satan have the upper hand....I went to our study....had a wonderful time....and was blessed and uplifted by the other ladies!!!

Psalm 34:19 (NLT)
The righteous person faces many troubles,
but the Lord comes to the rescue each time.

Blessings to you!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!
