Happy Halloween!!

I'm not a huge fan of Halloween.
Oh, don't get me wrong....I'm not the "Halloween Scrooge", or anything like that.  I do hand out treats....which the past few years have been the coupons from Wendy's for a free Frosty!  And, a few years ago, I also handed out Christian tracts to go along with the coupons.  It's just that Halloween for many years was such a scary time for little kids.  Remember the pins and needles and razor blades?  When Jess was small, some of the hospitals even provided a service where you could take your candy  bags by and they would x-ray them for anything that shouldn't be in there.
That's just so very sad to me!!!

Our church is having a Trunk or Treat Fall Festival.  So...if any of you who read my blog are local-yokels....then, head on over to Beech Springs  Baptist Church tomorrow night....from 4:00 until 7:00.  There will be food, games, a hayride, music, a train, puppets, singing, slide, moonwalk, face painting and much, much more....and it's all FREE....and anybody and everybody are WELCOME!!!

Today, let's talk about the fun side of Halloween....so here are a few things that caught my eye this week....

And....I just have to include this song by Chris August.  One of my favorite songs right now is "Starry Night" that he wrote after he had rededicated his life to the Lord.  This song by him....is just for fun....and perfect for Halloween....

(be sure to turn off my PlayList before listening)

See...I told 'ya I'm not a Halloween Scrooge!!!
:o)

HOPE y'all enjoy these Halloween treats....and that each of you have a very happy....and safe....Halloween!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. There were many years, particularly when we lived in the Dallas area when the kids were younger, that we opted to take them to Fall Festivals at our church rather than trick-or-treating. So, I totally understand where you are coming from. There's alot of mischief and meanness out there. My kids are all grown up now, but I still like to decorate....nothing gross or gory, though....just fun and a tad bit spooky! Hope you have a great weekend!
