Friday Food for Thought!!!

I've debated all week as to whether to continue our
"Fantastic Friday" linky get-to-gether!  One reason is that God has really been laying lots of ideas for posts on my heart lately and I feel like I need Friday for those, too!!!  I'm still a bit undecided, so, for today....let's ponder over this question....
 Am I more concerned about....

"what will people think?"....
"is this pleasing to God?"

I take a lot of notes when I study and the idea for
"Friday Food for Thought"
came to me earlier this week....
....along with the questions!

Being a "people pleaser" the past I paid way too much attention to what others thought of me.  As I've gotten older....and grown stronger in my faith....I still never want to deliberately hurt others....but sometimes it's necessary to stand our ground when we know that what we're doing is in God's will for our life!!!  I'm reminded of the Eleanor Roosevelt quote that I've placed on my blog right above the posts....

"Do what you feel in your heart to be right,
for you'll be criticized anyway."

So matter what we do, we will NEVER be able to please why not make every effort to please the ONE who really matters!!!

Galatians 1:10
Obviously, I’m not trying to win the approval of people, but of God.
If pleasing people were my goal, I would not be Christ’s servant.

HOPE each of you has a "fantastic" Friday....and weekend!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  1. I look forward to hearing what God lays on your heart for Fridays! Glad you are following him with this.

  2. It is important to do the right thing - I think we can do it and also govern how we do it to best help people.

  3. Oh I so agree, You cannot make every one happy and the only one that really matters is making our dear Lord happy!

    Have a great Friday!

  4. Deb, I've never gotten much into "Linkies". In fact, I'm trying to remember what your Friday Linkies are....EVERY post you create is challenging and/or interesting.

I think you've come to a good place of remembering WHY you do WHAT you do. Keep it up!

And have a wonderful weekend :)

  5. Wonderful. Something I needed to hear. Have a great weekend.

  6. I'm a new follower and I grabbed your button. You have a wonderful blog. I enjoyed your post. Doylene
