Like Father, Like Son...and Daughter!!!

I walked into Sunday school class a few weeks ago and a lady I had never met looked at me and said,
"you must be Jessica's Mom....you all look so much alike".
I didn't tell Jess 'cause she might not take it as a compliment like I did!!!
;-)

Doesn't it give us a sense of pride as a parent when we hear somebody bragging on our child (or GRAND child)?  Sometimes our heads get a little bigger!!!
I know our hearts sure do!!!

I wonder if that's how God feels, too?
When somebody tells one of His children that they can see so much of God in them....that His Spirit just shines right thru them....does God swell up with pride, too?!?!?

Just like a child who wants to do everything they can to make their parents proud....how much more should we try to make God's heart swell with pride over us....His children?!?

1 John 3:1a
See how very much our Father loves us,
for he calls us his children,
and that is what we are!

Let's do something extra special today to make our Heavenly Father proud!!!

In His Most Precious Love....and with mine!!!

  2. Yes! And in Psalm 139 we learn that the number of times God thinks of us is greater than the number of grains of sands. That's pretty amazing if I only think of a sandbox, but there are so many beaches, sand dunes, deserts . . . wow!

  6. Wonderful thought today!

And I think it's very sweet that she was able to tell you all come from the same family. :o) I always take it as a compliment when someone tells me I look like my mother! Better her than my bald father! ;o)
