I don't see how people can look at this picture and not just fall in love with all 3 of these kiddos!!
But....I've found that to be the way it is in this world we live in!
There are a lot of people who don't agree with adopting children of a different race.
How can that be?
If God speaks to someone's heart and gives them confirmation and affirmation that they're making the right decision based on HIS calling....
....then, how can anybody speak out in opposition?
What gives them the right?
This has happened amongst my "friends" and family.
Do they not realize that if they have asked Jesus into their hearts, then they were adopted into the family of God?
Would they have wanted to be turned away because of the color of their skin, or their eye color, or hair color, or weight, or height, or any other physical....
.....or emotional.....reason?
I'm so glad that God is Who He is and that He loves me....
....and all 3 of my GRAND babies!!!
Romans 8:14-16
For ALL who are led by the Spirit of God are children of God.
So you have not received a spirit that makes you fearful slaves.
Instead, you received God’s Spirit when HE ADOPTED YOU as his own children.
Now we call him,
“Abba, Father.”
For his Spirit joins with our spirit to affirm that we are God’s children.
AMEN....and AMEN!!!
In HIS Most Precious L♥ve....and with mine, too!!!
Blessings,
Deb
p.s....please listen closely to the song playing....
...."What a Wonderful World" by Mr. Louis Armstrong!!!
Deb,
ReplyDeleteYou are so blessed with those three precious little loves.
I will never understand some people, but what they think does not matter.
Nonie
Believe me we got the same reaction when we decided to adopt. Believe it or not my in-laws were more against it more than anyone. They were just concerned of the difficulty of raising someone elses children and past being a weapon against us. But now believe it or not my sis-in-law and her husband adopted a little boy last year. Now, our family has three adopted boys in the family on my hubby side of the family. God used our story to help them make this decision they wanted another child a boy had three daughters and decided they wanted a boy. Miscarriage one right after another I kept telling them a birth child was not the answer this time and I was right. Pray for them though they do have a lot of problems with the birth mother of this little boy. By the way, the little boy father is of a different race. Jacob is his name.
ReplyDeleteYour babies are precious Debbie. Thanks for sharing this post and I do love the song. Hugs and blessings, Cindy
ReplyDeleteYou know, we are just internet friends, but I feel like I "know" you a little and certainly count you among my friends. We are sisters in Christ, after all! It just makes my heart sad to hear the comments and opinions that Christian people express about racial issues. I have often said that I just cannot believe what people say, and the way they act, when they read the same Bible I read. Makes me terribly, terriby sad and you know how it makes our Father feel. Those precious babies up there in that picture are just that, precious! In your eyes as their granny and in God's eyes. I think it is a wonderful thing that Miss Ruby Kate has come into your lives and I have no doubt that God ordained it be. We'll just pray for those who don't agree. Bless you and your family. I am glad to have gotten to know you a little and who knows, some day I just might get up there to Strawberry Plains and we'll just have to meet for coffee or something. I would love that! Hugs!
ReplyDeleteI'm so sorry that some folks have been poops! I think that every child deserves to be in a loving family. That is not qualified in any way. I really wish people would keep their bad attitudes to themselves. You are a sweet person and I'm sure little Ruby Kate will grow up surrounded by love. I guess people with bad opinions would never adopt someone different. Maybe that's a blessing for the children, not to be adopted by someone negative. Just keep doing what you do, supporting your family, and knowing that God is in charge. He smiles on that precious child, as he smiles at all children. Blessings!
ReplyDeleteBeautiful post. We are all God's children and we all come from the same source.
ReplyDeleteAll childs over the world are precious. I love the pic.
ReplyDeleteI so hate to hear of any opposition to this sweet little girl, unfortunately, it is going to happen. I know Ruby Kate's new family ~ hey!, that's y'all ~ will raise her with lots of love and will seek God in handling negative situations. It's a wonderful thing to adopt a homeless child, color of their skin should not be an issue, God loves ALL skin colors! God Bless each of you and may He keep you under His wing today and forever. {{hugs}}
ReplyDeleteDeb, This is such a beautiful picture and all the children are so precious! Congratulations again on the new addition to your family and I am glad you are so proud of all of them and I don't blame you at all! I am saying a prayer for the opposition to this and also a prayer for you and your whole family that you have been so blessed and are blessing others in so many ways! Sending you hugs - and please don't let it get you down, there have always been small minded people in the world but God will take care of it all.
ReplyDeleteWhat beautiful angels to grace your lives....and it is only through the love of an incredible Heavenly Father that we < ya know, the Gentiles > have the privileges that we have in Christ. He adopted us, just as you stated....What an tremendous testimony of God's Love shed aboard in your community by the one genrous act of God's Love towards another.....Who is blessed? The small beautiful angel or The family that now has her presence among them? Easy answer ...all is blessed! Sweet Sweet Picture!
